Highly Experienced Teacher.

Now mainly drumming/percussion performances with oriental dance props and ex cabaret-style dancers.

25 years of belly dance experience.

I have been teaching belly dancing at all levels for many years after being on the top corporate and private circuit in London, around the UK, and abroad.

I have danced all my life and combined other dance styles with Arab/Middle Eastern moves.

I like to inject confidence and fun into my classes and workshops.

Performance style and charisma are key.

Without that, learning dance steps in a technical way counts for nothing.

Even the most simple of moves can look amazing if performed with grace, passion, and interaction.

I teach drumming/percussion for beginners.

Teacher: Juliana Brustik

The Space (Sports Centre to the left of Hackney College) and Margaret Sheppard studio, a Purpose-built dance studio with mirrors. Falkirk Stree, London N1 6HQ.

See Juliana’s website.

Other additional information

I have been teaching and performing for more than 20 years in the UK and abroad.

I have also directed numerous theatre shows and choreographed pieces for performance groups in Britain, Switzerland, and Germany.

My classes give a solid grounding in technique as well as in how to express the complexities of the various styles of Egyptian music.

Students are encouraged to develop their creativity in a supportive environment.

Working with live music is an important part of understanding the soul of Egyptian dance and music.

Regular dance workshops accompanied by leading Arab musicians are truly inspiring experiences for dancers of all levels.

The spontaneous and improvised nature of Egyptian dance and music has always inspired me as it allows the dancer to find her own authentic expression, power, and creativity.
