Other additional information: Maysun grew up in an Arabic family and has been dancing for over 15 years. She prefers a darkly feminine Gothic style of belly dance, and regularly performs professionally at a variety of public and private venues (from private functions such as weddings, parties, etc - to local area restaurants and corporate events). Maysun can perform using props, in particular veil, sword and fan, which she teaches at workshops.
Mahara has been involved in belly dance since her teen years. Although she started her dance career with more traditional forms of dance (ballet/jazz/tap), belly dance has been her passion. Mahara has performed professionally both as a solo artist and as a member of several small ensembles and troupes. She currently dances with troupes Yemanja and Satori, and has been stage manager for local belly dance troupe "Loud Zoo". Mahara writes original choreographies and is preparing to launch her own Cabaret belly dance troupe. She is currently preparing to enter (with fellow members of troupe Satori) into the world of belly dance competition.
